Welcome
Welcome to "The Gables," home of Westcliff rugby football club for almost 25 years, in our opinion possibly the most successful rugby club in Essex . Define success? Yes our first xv have gained promotion in 3 consecutive seasons and yes we won the second xv cup and yes our third xv won their merit table. The under 9,s and under 10,s continue to dominate their age group and the under 16,s won the Essex cup for the third consecutive year.
But in our opinion success is measured in different ways and we are proud that we can field large squads in all age groups from under 7 through to colts plus 4/5 senior sides and more recently have formed a girls' rugby squad. We continue to work with schools and within the community in general to develop our wonderful game.
Please feel free to hunt around this website and contact us should you have any queries or suggestions.
May I wish you all a very enjoyable season.

The chance to try some new combinations in the Essex Cup match against Wanstead saw a late revival fall just short of snatching victory. A slow start saw Wanstead go ahead through an intercepted score. Westcliff fought back to eventually lose 22 - 18 |

| Last fixture: Chelmsford Festival on 23rd April 2006. All in all a good day for the Westcliff Mini's - the Under 9's, 10's and 12's won their respective competitions with the Under 11's coming Runners Up and the Under 7's winning the Plate. That was the last main matches before the close of season except for the RATT trophy final At Harlequins for the Under 9's - good luck to them...! ** If your child wants to try rugby the next training session will be on the 3rd September when the new season starts ** |
